Regional Associations
EPCA is in contact with all industry-driven associations organising yearly meeting opportunities for the chemical industry in their respective regions. In that respect EPCA co-ordinates its activities with AFPM (American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers) and APLA (Asociación Petroquimica y Quimica Latinoamericana). EPCA also fully supports the creation of an industry-driven meeting in the Far East together with APIC (Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference) aswell as in the Middle East, together with GPCA (Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association).Sector Associations
For many years a fruitful co-operation has existed between EPCA and CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Council).
- Cefic was initially formed as the European Federation of National Federations of the Chemical Industry, in order to serve as a lobbying body for the chemical producers in the European Union. Major chemical producers are also direct members of Cefic or of Cefic- affiliated associations like APPE (Association of Petrochemical Producers in Europe) and APME (Associations of Plastics Manufacturers in Europe). Most of these companies are also EPCA members. In addition EPCA regroups the suppliers, customers and business partners of the chemical producers on a global basis. Not being a lobbying group EPCA does not have any federations or associations in its membership.
- The EPCA/Cefic co-operation takes place in numerous fields and projects where industry representatives and logistics service providers are involved.

The joint Cefic/EPCA/ECTA working groups on the development of Best Practices in chemical transport bring producers and logistics service providers together, who are members of both EPCA and ECTA.
EPCA has assisted land transport companies to form ECTA (The European Chemical Transport Association). ECTA is a representative body for land logistics service providers and is involved in 'advocacy' vis-à-vis the authorities and in developing 'Best Practices' in chemical logistics together with Cefic and Cefic-affiliated associations. ECTA also magages the Responsible Care Scheme. Many ECTA members are also Associate Members of EPCA.
EPCA co-operates with internationally renowned universities, consulting firms and the authorities on specific projects, mainly in the field of chemical logistics and supply chain.
